Zach is so so fussy with food and was just wondering if any of you ladies had any tips for me? He has never been a big eater but he's just getting worse and worse the older he gets. I made all his food at first but he wouldn't even entertain the idea. So I brought him Ellas kitchen pouches. He quite liked these for While but soon got bored if fruit. So I brought some jars for him to try. He will eat 4 jars. That's all. I just alternate them all week. He will still only eat the stage one jars. He just throws up if I try to the him anything with lumps in. I tried to mix some mashed potato with a jar yesterday but he wouldnt eat it. He also now won't eat the fruit pots or yogurt (natural or fromage frais). Does anyone have any ideas? He would eat porridge for all his meals if I let him though! Monster!

Perhaps try putting some food on his tray and just let him play with it, explore and smear it all over himself......some might make it in his mouth and he might find both the experience and the independence fun. I think the more positive meal time is the more likely Lo's are to try different things.

A friend of mine had some success eating some of her sons food - that modelled the desired behaviour and also made him say "hey! thats mine lady" and he would try a bit too.

You also might try feeding off of your finger instead of a utensil to see if that helps him get into it.

Id suggest trying baby led weaning you can find lots of info on the net you might have more luck with it then jar feeding
