Oscar William was born Tuesday 08/01/13 at 11:31am weighing 7lbs exactly! At 41 weeks ![Baby :baby: :baby:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/baby.gif)
Here is my story:
Woke up Monday am about 4am with mild contractions every 10 minutes for several hours...by the evening they were getting really strong but very erratic in times ranging anything from 3 - 11 mins.
Tried to sleep in between contractions but easier said than done! Bounced on my birth ball and used my tens machine as distractions but was in absolute agony by Tuesday in the early hours with contractions eventually stabilising to every 4 minutes by which time I couldn't take it anymore so set off for L&D.
Was only 2-3cm on arrival at 4.15am but a sweep broke my membranes and waters went 5 mins later in the obs room so I was thankfully admitted to a delivery room and went to 8cm by 8am then finally 10cm by 10am. He started getting distressed with an erratic heartbeat during the pushing stage so had to have a spinal tap with forceps and an episiotomy - ouch ouch!
Back home and very sore but have established feeding and looking 4ward to showing him off!
Thankyou to all you ladies who have given me such great advice and support during the toughest trimester for me and good luck to those of you expecting soon!![Thumb up  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/good.gif)
