Monday morning at 2.34am after a 24 hour long labour, finally had my little boy milo weighing 6lbs 6 oz.will update full birth story later x
update: my lo was due on the 12th june, by the 11th june he still hadnt dropped, i hadnt had one sign of labour, not a show, no twinges, in fact i felt better then ever!
woke up at 5am on the 12th having contractions, by 6am they were every 7 mins and lasting about 20 secs, i stayed at home till 3pm by which time they were 2-3mins apart lasting up to 90 secs, i was in a lot of pain and couldnt take anymore so begged hospital to let me come in, in 2 previous phone calls they wouldnt let me saying i would just be sent home.
got to hospital and was checked and the lady told me i was half way there and 5 cm dilated, no wonder i was in agony! was given gas and air which personally didnt help at all just made me feel out of it and strange. unfortunately stayed at 5cm till nearlly 11pm by which point i had asked for an epidural, after a few hours i felt like i was losing control with the pain and was told the epidural hadnt worked as it was off centre! so had another and i must say i could have kissed the guy who gave me it, i remeber saying i would have paid £2000 for it for the relief it provided. after that they broke my waters and took anither 2.5 hours to push him out as he came out sideways so had trouble coming down. luckily i didnt tear and didnt need any stitches! he arrived super healthy at 6lb 6. i love him to bits already x
