and the doctor said it could be a number of things.

Has this happened to anybody else? I am trying not to google it. :nope:

I am so worried because I also have a placental abruption, but I really did not suspect anything would be wrong with the liver. Could they be related?

What could cause this? So, so, worried.

No experience, but just wanted to pass along :hugs: you sound like you need one...stay away from google. Hopefully everything turns out okay. :hugs:

Hi hun - I'm sorry I don't have any experience with this but didn''t want to read and run. Hope someone can give you some answers :hugs: xxx

I'm sorry, I have no experience either with this, but didn't want to read and run... big :hugs: to you. Thoughts and wishes that everything is just fine.

Aww! I just posted in your other thread! I'm so sorry you had a stressful day... did the dr say what's next?

My son had a white spot which showed up on his heart at his 20 week scan and we were worried sick. So I know how stressful receiving this news is. The lady who did the scan and my midwife said it's nothing to worry about unless they find at least two spots, which they can consider markers for some conditions or problems at birth. With us, since it was only one, they figured it was just a calcium spot which can go away on it's own while still inside, or just disappear once born. They did another scan at 31 weeks and it was still there. After that appointment we were told it's still nothing to worry about and it's pretty pretty common for them to go away as soon as the baby is born and breathes air. They don't know why calcium spots form and go away during gestation. In our case our baby was absolutely fine, even born 3.5 weeks early, they were amazed he didn't need and special care and passed all his tests.

If there's only one spot, I'm sure your little bubs is fine! Are they offering you another scan later? We insisted on doing one but the advised us it wasn't necessary. We were just hoping the spot would've been gone so we could stop worrying.

Thanks ladies!

& Laila, I replied in the other one.

They need a later scan anyway because she couldn't measure his heart properly due to his position, so I'll be asking them to check then. I also have another one in 2 weeks because I have a placental abruption. I hope that it is just a calcium spot. There was only one.

Don't want to read and run but if you have something wrong I think they normally refer you to an expert that can answer all your questions. x

What was the reply? Can you tell me? I have some problem in my son.
