A babys BIRTH in England or Wales needs to be registered within 6 weeks after the birth, however, a birth can be registered without the baby having a name, it would just be left blank or female/male inserted into the forename space as a birth certificate can be amended within 12 months after the birth, although I don't personally know anyone who has done this, everyone I know finds out what they are having at their 20 week scan and name them in advance, but I have researched alot of my family history and had to trawl through many genealogical articles and in many cases the above happened, where they were just given a name at a later date, and it is still the case nowadays, so anyone struggling with a name, don't feel the pressure to name them within the 6 weeks, you actually have a year,a s long as you don't forget to amend it, I don't think baby would appreciate being named blank space, male or female in the future! lol!
PS I think Aurora is a lovely name and never heard of it being a strippers name!

Forgive me for asking but is noal not a boys name? X

ps I think here in England the spelling may be different - yes Noel is a boys name - as in Noel Edmonds, but the feminine variant I suppose would be Noelle? Maybe the US spelling is pronounced the same as in No-el, correct me if i'm wrong ladies as I'm not too certain!

I've always thought Noel was a boy's name, Noelle is the feminine version (atleast here in the US, and I know atleast 3 little Noelle-s, absolutely adorable name btw)
I say don't be afraid just to pick something :) Probably you won't always feel that it's perfect, but in this life most things aren't :) and it's ok to feel like that, even about our own choices too. Babies start to listen to their names very early on, and the longer you wait the harder it will be for her to associate herself with a name. :) Good luck!!
