And I mean completely. I can't leave him with a dummy, because when I turn my back, he has it completely inside, he can't close his mouth but his cheeks are full. I am pretty sure they are designed so they can't be swallowed, but still. I actually mentioned this in the forum when he was smaller, though he wasn't fitting it completely inside. I can't see any super big dummies, so not sure what to do. Anybody know any 12+ dummies which I could trust him with?

would the mam butterfly shaped ones be worth a try. they are more wide than the rounder ones so id be suprised if he can get them in. x

Could you maybe start weaning him off it? I have a feeling I may need to do this soon as Amelia keeps putting hers in her mouth, hasn't put it all in yet, but kinda bites it in half (if that makes any sense?!!)

I second what laura says about the mam butterfly ones. They are beasts. They take up my child's entire face.

I couldn't wean at the moment, I have so much on my plate at the moment that I couldn't even consider it. To be fair though, they only really use the dummy all the time when at naps or bed time. I am going to get some mam ones, I had some in the past actually at the 6 month stage. I might have to get the 16 month ones, would that be alright? They just don't seem to offer the 12 month ones where I buy baby things.

I think they're from 6-18 months. I've never seen any dummies go bugger sizes than that?

Some are 6+ and another one is 15 plus

I was only suggesting just in case. But no I wouldn't wean if it meant more headaches, just not worth it! Try the mam ones, hopefully they help!

Its true if they didn't have dummies it would be the end of the problem, but can't imagine putting them to bed without this aid at present, they love their :baby: as a way of relaxing, they totally see it as a cue for night nights :haha: Lets see the mam dummy, my sons have an incredible capacity for fitting things in their mouth that they shouldn't, which is a worry, so if anyone can do it they can. Lets put the MAM to the test and see!

lol!!! God the night Josh went without a dummy was so stressful. We got rid of all of them but one and the next night we were going to give it to the dummy fairy. Well he dropped it down the toilet...no amount of sterilising would mean I would give it to him! Two nights of tantrums and he eventually started to accept going to sleep without it after a week or so!

Dominic wakes up anywhere from 6-103839 times a night for his dummy. I'm so tempted to take I away from him but he's such a sucky baby and it would be awful.
I know how you feel!

Got the biggest MAM dummy I could and he still managed to put it entirely in his mouth the moment my back was turned :(

There was a bit a dummy sticking out but I think he hadn't had the chance to cram it in, and I was too busy taking it out in a panic
