My baby's not laughing at 5 months!

My baby girl still doesn't laugh. She smiles a lot, and when we tickle her she makes a funny noise like 'gaaaaaa' but it's not a laugh! We're really silly parents and are always trying to make her laugh (maybe we are trying too hard lol) I'm just a bit worried as my son laughed from 3 months and had the best baby giggle EVER, I was so looking forward to when Ivy laughed but it seems she is a silent smiler...

Do some babies just not really laugh or giggle? Would make me a bit sad if she didn't

my LO doesnt really either, he just kinda grunty laughs and makes the same noise when we tickle him too
hes not a very vocal/chatty baby so ive never really thought about it being wierd

My daughter got the giggles for the first time this weekend and before that we would get a single laugh but it would take a lot of work. Im hoping she gets in touch with her sense of humour more over the next couple of weeks.

Mine is exactly the same, does a little "hur' laugh and he does a somewhat light giggle occasionally but thats about it, he's also quite a quiet baby and only has a couple of babble outbursts during the day.

I'm waiting for the giggles like off the Cow and Gate and Johnsons adverts. I'm patiently but desperately waiting, I think I'll pee myself with happiness when it happens

My friend's LO was a year old last month and still doesn't laugh. She just gives you a huge smile and goes "hmmm" I think its really cute
