well as most of you know i was having contractions on and off from 4am monday 8th November. Had to go to the hospital to go on the monitor on friday 12th Nov, let the midwife do a stretch and sweep, which had no effect at all 
, On sunday 14th November i went back to the hospital to go back on the monitor and to be checked for dialation as had woke up that morning with some pretty uncomfortable contractions, i had made it to 3cm's so was left on the monitor for another half an hour as contractions started to pick up quite a lot and pretty quickly, was checked again a couple of hours later and was still only 3cm's but babies head was right down just inside my cevix so they decided they wanted to break my waters to help me along, so i agreed to let them do it, was taken down to central delivery suite at 5.45pm and the MW broke my waters at 5.55pm, contractions started to pick up very quickly, managed to breath through the contractions until 8pm when i asked for the gas and air, which was awesome, after the first breathfull i was laughing my head off until the next contraction came, finally got the urge to push at 8.30pm but couldnt as the lip of my cervix had got stuck on top of babies head, at 8.57pm my sons head was born but he had got his shoulders stuck behind my pelvis and it took the midwife a minute to free him ( i wont put the exact details of what happened in the next minute as it was extremely frightening for everyone involved) at 8.58pm his body followed and my new son had finally made his grand entrance weighing in at 8lb 12oz and 14 days late, although i didnt get to hold my lil boy for 20 minutes as he needed to be resuscitated and because i had uite a bit of a bad bleed which the midwifes could not stop or find out where the blood was coming from, but they managed to stop it after a while,
We have named him Leland John Francis, he is so gorgeous and so quiet
Thank you a million times over to babawishes for updating for me and to all the girls on here that have been a great support to me since i joined in april, dont know what i would have done without you all or how i would coped at the hard times xx
