Ok ladies im pretty sure this is the appropriate forum to post my labor experiance.
My last night of work was saturday march 3 i was going on 39 wks pregnant. i got off work at 8am sunday march 4. Later that afternoon sunday i started getting contractions, not that bad. I woke up monday morning around 3:30am with some pretty painful contractions, but was bearable somewhat. My husband got off work that morning at 8am. it was when i went to the bathroom and there was fresh bright red blood in my mucus plug that i called my dr. and told her what was going on that she told me to go to the hospital and get checked. I was thinking that i was just going to go and end up going home right after they checked me. boy oh boy did i get a surprise.i got to the hospital and they checked me at 10:30am and i was 7cm dilated and still the pain was bearable, shoot i was still able to smile. they got me in my room, while i waited for Ian to be ready to be born, i walked around the waiting room where a good bit of my family was. when they came back to check me it was around 2pm and i was 8cm dilated, still able to walk around. close to 3:30pm was when i couldnt stand the pain, i stayed in the bed going from one contraction to the next right after one another. they checked me and i was 9cm and my water still hadnt broke. but not too long after, i did my first push and my water broke. I didnt have to push for very long at all. my son was born at 4:15pm 6lb 6oz and 20 1/2 in long. I didnt tear and practically no stretch marks. God was truly watching over me.
