When i found out i was pregnant i asked my mum if she would take care of my kitten until we were settled again after baby was born. She lives out in the country so it was perfect for him.

My sister came over last night to tell me that he was hit by a car Monday morning and died :cry:

The driver of the car took him to the vets very early monday morning but there was nothing they could do.

Mum had to go down and identify him yesterday.

My poor little boy - he only turned 1 in July. I keep thinking that its all my fault. Chances are he would still be alive if he was still here with me.

I'm going to have a wallowing day today. Work should be fun :nope:

awww so sorry to hear that. thank goodness that the driver stopped to help. i have witnessed some terrible incidents where they just keep driving. pets are def part of the family. xoxo

Oh I'm so sorry, I have 2 cats and I'd be devastated if one of them died. Infact we got a cat when I was 8, she died when I was 23 and although she had a long life and I was grateful for that I was absolutely devastated.

Don't blame yourself, unfortunately accidents like this happen all the time, you think in the country it would be better, but with winding roads and usually reduced visibility with high hedges/trees it can be just as bad as living in a built up area.

You dont know that at all, if he'd been living with you the same thing could have happened, so please dont blame yourself. It was an accident and you had no idea that this was going to happen.

Sorry to hear that. It's horrible when you lose an animal. One of our cats died last year, it got killed by a dog two days after we had a cat flap fitted. Felt so guilty for having it fitted. Wasn't our fault, just as this isn't yours, doesn't make you feel any better though.
It hurt so much to lose her, but then I guess it's supposed to if you really love them.
Big hugs x

:hugs::hugs::hugs:

Oh hun, i'm so sorry about your little pusscat. Please don't feel like it's your fault at all as accidents do happen, but I know exactly how you are feeling and that you can't help thinking like that.

We had 3 cats until the day that I was 20 weeks when one of them got run over outside my Mum's house :cry: We were just so glad that we found him and know where he is now and that he's not just another missing cat. But couln't help the thoughts that if we had done this or that then he might still be here. I'm still gutted now, and really miss him.

Take care, and try not to get too upset (difficult I know) xxx :hug:

I'm so sorry. That would be hard to deal with. Hugs!

PS please don't blame yourself as others have said! You are not at fault!
