My cat hates me! :'(

OH has had to make an emergency trip to Townsville our SIL was in a horrible car accident and is now in an induced coma. It's a 16 hour car trip (without stopping, which I made him promise to do every 4 hours at least) and we both agreed it was best for bub an I to stay behind, as heartbreaking as it is.
So now I'm at my mothers house until he gets back. Since we can't have pets at out place, my mother has been looking after my cat (this has been for 4 years now, so puss is used to it). She isn't very affectionate at the best of times but when I first come over, she always lets me hold and cuddle her as long a I want. After that, she doesn't agree.
Today started out the same, she was content with cuddles and a hold when I first arrived... Then tonight when she started settling for bed on her special blanket and she kept looking at me funny. I would reposition myself and she would back away from me. Then I went to give her a pat and she took off! I can't even come near her now!
I know some animals act odd when their owners are about to go into labour but I should have plenty more time? What could this be?

I'm not great at cat psychology but I've heard before that they might know when something is up. Do you experience any other symptoms that might indicate that labour could be starting?

I went into preterm labour at 31+3. I've been losing plug every day and bub has slowly begun engaging ever since. Some days I have constant BH that don't stop all day but apart from that, nothing that screams labour is coming
