My Cow and gate weaning pack arrived!

One of the lovely ladies on here suggested the Cow and Gate 5-step weaning guide, it arrived today. I absolutely love it although I have a dense question..

It gives some lovely recipes that I'm going to try as I want to make my LO's food. I plan on buying the freezer packs today to freeze some in.

How do you defrost your LO's food? Do you get it out in the morning and leave it out? Microwave it? Put it in the fridge overnight?

What size portions does your LO take? The portions seem small!

I sound dense, I've never weaned before haha.x

I used that as a guide when I weaned LO as well. I bought a little freezer tray from mothercare but a normal ice cube tray will work just as well, just wrap it in something. When LO was just having fruit and veg, I just left it on side and if it wasn't defrosted in time I did it microwave. Now he has meat I defrost in the fridge overnight.

The portions are small but LO prob won't even eat that at first. When the eat more you can give more cubes, or freeze in bigger portions e.g tubs or freezer bags.
