my diy advent finished!

Advent calendars aren't big here in the US and it makes them hard to find. I was going to order off Amazon, but I decided since dd get's so overwhelmed at Christmas, that I'd take one of her gifts I had already and turn that into a countdown. I had bought her a doll house with accessories at a second hand store and made that into her advent.

That's an amazing idea! What's the point in spending more when you can use something you already have?!

Thanks all. The only thing I'm questioning is having it in the sleigh. I think the point is to count down and I think it would be easier to visualize the count down if the bags were all out on a rope or soemthig so that you could easily see how many were left.?? I guess I'll keep it this way this year and may do something different next year. thanks again

i think i remember the sleigh from last year, its super cute, and i think with your Lo's age she wont know the difference this year if they're in the sleigh and not hanging up!

Fab idea. Dd had an advent similar last year, each door had a little toy. This is such a personal touch and it think rummaging through the sleigh for the next number would be fun/exciting... its given me an idea for next year as oh is thinking of building her a dolls house
