I went today for my normal pap smear and mentioned some things that have been going on with me since I had my son. I've had very bad acne and in places that I never got it before, like my arms. I've always had little hairs on my chin but they've increased drastically lately. My cycle got longer. Like 45 days long. And I have been carrying around about 15 extra pounds. She said the best way to treat the facial hair and acne is birth control. Because it "squashes" testosterone levels. Then i said "what if I want to get pregnant again?". She said I would go off the pill and try to get pregnant and we'd go from there. I'm thinking that she's looking at it as a "mild" form. Not severe. Because I obviously ovulate at least sometimes. And when I had my c section the doctor said I had nice healthy ovaries so I guess I don't have cysts. Is it possible I have higher testosterone levels but I don't necessarily have PCOS? She ordered tests to check my thyroid too. And the tests she ordered other than that are FSH, LH, Prolactin, testosterone and DHEA sulfate. I have no idea what that means. Lol
