Here's my birth story from what I remember! On October 12th I woke up at 5:45am with strong contractions every 3 minutes. Soon after they were coming every 2 minutes. I coped with the blinding pain for nearly 2 hours. By 7am I couldn't handle it anymore and woke my fiancee. He quickly called 911 and the ambulance rushed us to the hospital. They got me in the gown,hooked uptomonitors and into the bed. Then I was checked and was 5cm dilated. I opted not to have an epidural. For over an hour I tried to cope through the pain. By then the contractions were so intense and painful that I passed out in between each contraction. I asked for the epidural but had to wait on blood work. Sometime later they checked me and I was 8cm,too late for the epidural. Time dragged on and I felt the urge to push. When checked I was only 9cm and told not to push. My nurse kept reassuring me that I was almost there and would be pushing soon. I really didn't believe her as she just kept telling me to hang on. After what seemed like an eternity they finally checked me again and I had finally reached 10cm and could push. I pushed so hard I wound up popping but they discreetly disposed of it. My OB arrived and I began to push. The OB had to reach inside me and stretch my vagina because my babies head was turned sideways with the cord wrapped around her body. I put all my willpower and determination into pushing. My OB told me to reach down and I caught my beautiful baby girl Tea Storm. Suddenly I was surrounded by people,pressing on my stomach,reaching up inside me and I began to scream the pain was so incredibly bad. Turned out my blood pressure had plummeted and they removed a fist size blood clot from my uterus. I was stabilized and my daughter and I got skin to skin. Despite my health crisis my daughter arrived completely healthy! I would go through it all again for her safe arrival.
