Hi

Some of you might know me and others I still have to meet.

I had my consulation with my FS yesterday and he had some shocking news. My MRI scan revealed I have 2 dermoid cysts on both ovaries, measuring 4cm and 6cm (these grew in matter of months). He said that in his 15 years in his field he has never come across or read anything like my case. My body keeps growing cyts in months and switches from endo cysts to dermoid cysts. He believes even after surgeries I will be battling with cysts for all of my life.

He asked if we could publish my case in medical journals and find a specialist who might be interested in researching and investigating my ongoing battle with dermoid cysts, endometriosis and endematroma.

My 2nd IVF has been postponed till Jan. I am now booked into my 4th surgery in less than 2 years.

I hope that by getting your case published it may bring you someone who can help you further :hugs:

So sorry hunni hopefully the exposure will help get the answers to what is going on. Big Hugs.

crikey hun, so sorry to hear your news x x x x x x x how are you feeling cherub?

like the other ladies have said, it can only help to publish it in order to get a specialist involved and give you the care you need, and hopefully the best chance at a H&H 9 months too.

sorry you need sugery again. Thinking of you x x x

Sorry to hear your news ... but like the other ladies have said - maybe you'll get the specialist help you need and deserve.

xx

Hey dilek! I also think this might open the doors for you to get top specialist help, which is good in itself, but i'm sorry you are going through all this...i still remember reading your journal from start to finish one weekend and Thinking that noone deserves the pain You're going through... Dermoids usually Grow very slowly.... So this is indeed a unique case. I,ll keep checking the bm journal for your story ... Hope all goes well hun. Xxxxx

Thank you ladies for all your support. I really hope someone out there might find a way to stop dermoids growing, currently there is nothing to help us ladies but to have surgery to remove them. I hate the fact there called simple cysts. Im so worried that after this surgery ill be in again for an endo cyst. They keep swapping every time i have surgery. I hope I can have a baby and maybe think about having my ovaries removed.

I had a real tough time yesterday and had a quick chat to mum back home, it was comforting but i hate worrying my parents, they cant do nothing but worry. Makes it worst that im in London and there in Sydney. Do you girls tell your parents and close friends about what we are all going through?

I tell my mom everything but we are pretty much best friends. I know she feels all the pain I do about wanting a baby. Even thought there is nothing she can do it does make me feel better to know that I am not going through all of this alone. DH just really doesnt understand that maternal instict we have to just want to be a mother. I have a few friends that know what we have been through but I dont tell them everything just really when they ask what is going on. i know how you feel about worrying your mother but if she is anything like mine she is going to worry if I tell her or not.
