Hiya

Apologies in advance as have been a bit of a serial poster just lately!!

I had an early nat m/c at xmas and was approx 5 wks. I had minimal bleeding and passed no clots. My levels were tracked down to 13 at EPAU and a home preg test early Jan confirmed BFN.

Since then I had a whole range of symptoms which could have pinpointed AF or BFP. I last tested BFN yesterday.

Today it is 6 weeks on and I have started AF. The bleed isnt particually heavy but its constant and is dark red and resembles more of a paste in places than normal blood flow {hope that makes sense}. Have also passed a few stringy bits and smallish clots all of which is unusual for me.

I passed something that is blood red and looks like jelly and is about the size and shape of half a grain of rice, Im in no pain at all so presume this may be just some of the clots that perhaps I never passed when I had my m/c???

Im just posting to see if this all seems normal as I know the first AF after a m/c can be a bit odd for some people and for me all of it is completely different to any other AF i've ever had,

So folks whats the verdict am I normal ? lol x

my first AF after my m/c was very different from any other AF, different flow, different kinds of clots, you name it it was different :-S

so im going to say your normal..... or we are both odd haha

Cheers for that lol !!

To be fair it did become slightly more normal as the day went on, it was the paste style blood that threw me the most as did half expect some clots & tissue etc,

During the night it was awful, it just kept flowing out of me and this morning its just more "normal", - overall its not too bad as normally my periods are a lot heavier than this for the first 48 hrs or so prob due to my irreg cycle and pcos.

Guess next step is to start trying again x

My first period after my miscarriage finished on Thursday and mine was completely different. At first, it started with brownish spotting, which actually looked more like tiny brownish flecks of skin. Then it started properly but wasn't particularly heavy and I didn't get my usual AF pains, I did have them but it was very mild and only lasted the first day. And the bleeding was really dark the whole way through. I'm assuming this is normal, not sure why the blood was so dark though.
