We have been today for our first fertility appointment, we got ohs sperm results back and there was only 2million so low count, and they were practically all abnormal, he has to do a re test in 8 weeks....

How can he make this better?

I had a ultrasound due to irregular periods and bleeding 2-3 weeks, I'm on cd 19 and don't think i ovulate, I had a deflated follicle and they had a hard time finding one of my ovarys because it was smaller than the other. I asked if that was normal and she said it was ok she was looking for pcos and enlarged cycstic ovarys...is it normal to have a smaller ovary?

I'm confused straight after my ultrasound I was sent straight for bloods and on my way so didn't get to ask the consultant about the smaller ovary, she said everything else looked fine no fibroids or anything. I have to ring up tomorrow to see if I have ovulated but since I have only just stopped bleeding from my period which lasted 18 days so it is unlikely the deflated follicle is from ovulation this cycle.
Can anyone help?

Hi Natali,

I can't tell you much about the deflated ovary, eventhough otherwise we share a similar story.

My DF has a low sperm count at 3mil, 0% morphology and 30% motility. I also have irregular cycles and when i used to use opks they used to stay positive for weeks so I never knew if I actually ovulated or not. The doctor said I had PCO so cycts in the ovaries and maybe some months i would ovulate and some not, but I don't have the pco syndrome.

After my fiancées diagnosis they never really paid much attention to my problem since because of the low morphology they suggested us to do ivf with icsi straight away.

The doctor will probably do some tests for your husband to see if there's a problem with the hormone levels and if there's anything that can be done about it. My fiancé has cut down alcohol, no smoking and started exercising regularly. I bought a ton of supplements for him to take. One of them was ubikinoni, which is scientifically proven to help. I can give you the full list if you want.

Good thing is that people who do ivf because of male infertility tend to have high success rates! I got pregnant on the first round, but miscarried and now I am hoping this pregnancy lasts.

Good luck, I wish you all the best! It is def possible to conceive even with very severe male factor.
