Maria doesn't miss me when she's at her dad's :(

When she's here and her dad calls on skype she comes running over to "talk" to him and is clearly very excited and waves and smiles loads but when she's there and I call on skype she just ignores me most of the time

I just feel so rejected :(

If you're her main carer, and there with her most of the time... She could just be at that age where she;'s excited to see the parent she see's less. My little sister's father works away Monday - Friday, and she's so excited to spend time with him at the weekends as she doesn't see him that much. At the weekends her Mum gets ignored! But we all know that if it came down to it.. If she was upset or poorly, she'd want her Mummy! Try not to take it to heart. x

I agree hun, if your with her the majority of the time it is most probably that he is a novelty as such to her.
I don't speak to the girls when they are at their dads because it makes it harder for him to settle Chloe. Jaycee isn't so bad but Chloe always asks how I am. Jaycee on the other hand just gets on with it, actually she really enjoys going to her dad's whereas if I asked Chloe if she would like to stay with mummy she would more than likely say yes.

I wouldn't worry, this is new also, when it settles down and the routine is kept for a while things may change.

I don't feel like I'm her main carer right now, he's had her for a week now and she still doesn't miss me :( (though thats not going to happen again thankfully as we have the custody meeting on tuesday so he will have to stick to our agreement from then on)

Has he had her a whole week for a reason? She's still quite young hun. I honestly wouldn't worry too much.

She got ill when she was there so didn't want to stress her by moving her.

Aw dont worry hun. Paige has loads of fun at her dads, and im betting she doesnt even think about me! Sometimes i talk to her on the phone, but shes totally not interested, will say hiya then give the phone a kiss and run away. As soon as she sees me though, her face lights up and i know that she did miss me! I know its hard, but believe me she will make sure u kbiw she missed u when she sees you!

I guess she did miss me a bit at least, when she saw me she ran straight over (and pushed me over, but thats our little game :haha:)

Yeah she seems to like me enough now she's here with me. Though she's throwing tantrums all the time and dunno if its just a normal thing for her age or if she's stressed over the situation.

Maybe just her getting used to how things are now. I'm sure if you give it a few weeks it will all settle down.

As PPs have said, its probs cos she spends a lot of time with you & so her dad is a little bit more exciting to her. But don't worry, she will always want her mummy more.

Big big big :hugs: hun, I know your having a hard time ATM, but honestly, it will get better (:
