Totally agree what others have said about using maternity pads rather than normal sanitary towels. I had to have stitches up and down because of 2nd degree tears and the plastic coating on Always would have irritated them something chronic and made me even more sore.

I think I put in one of my previous posts about boots own brand maternity pads?

They do the normal thick ones but they also do a thin version with wings so you don't feel like you are wearing a nappy yourself lol.

They have a lovely and soft top coat that doesn't scratch or catch your delicate area xx

Oooh and put a bottle of water in the freezer!

When you are in labour you will get very dry and thirsty but not want great huge amounts of water. The frozen bottle defrosts slowly so it doesn't come out too fast but also keeps it nice and cold which is very refreshing!

Take it to hospital with you in a coolbag with an ice pack to keep it frozen longer xx

coconut water coconut water coconut water!!! it makes your pee not sting and really boosts your energy levels cos its got loads of potassium - it's like natures sports drink :)

Honestly hun i would forget the loose clothes, they can still be far too restrictive, even leggins which i usualy find comfy. Get your self to tesco and get yourself some loungeware. Basicly PJ's that look more like clothes and you will probably need a few more bibs.

I found the thin maternity pads wernt absorbant enough at first but were good when the bleeding starts to taper off.
