This probably has been discussed here, but I just need to vent. I am so upset that my hospital doesn't offer water births anymore. I had my first baby in a birthing pool at the hospital and it was a great experience.
I haven't really considered a home birth because I love the midwives and doctors at the practice I go to and I loved the maternity ward and nurses at the hospital. They are all very pro natural birth.
I had a doula the first time and am hoping she is available this time as well. I was only in the pool for the 20-25 minutes it took to push, but I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping I can have another great med free birth without the pool. They don't make you stay in the bed so I will probably deliver on all fours or squatting. They also have a jacuzzi tub to labor in. I used it through transition and it was a big help for me so as long as that's free, I think I'll be all set.
