my IVF pack just came through the post!!!

Congratulations. :happydance:

My consultant referred me for IVF and we went for our first appointment in June. We just filled in all these forms etc and I had a AMH test done there and DH had to do a second SA. I asked the FS how long will it take and she said that approx 10 months from when they have all the tests done. So DH did his SA at the start of August so I assumed you were talking around June 2012. It's been 3.5 months from that SA and the only think we have heard that it was fine and that they will be in contact with us again. So I really am not sure if we are on the waiting list yet or do we have to do something else.

Hi,

I'm new to this site and noticed that you've had a consultation at IVF Wales. I've received the IVF letter for a consultation on the 30th of this month. We were referred last March by a consultant so I'm hoping we can start treatment Easter time.

How were they at IVF Wales? What did the first consultation involve?

I'm very nervous has they don't have a great reputation particularly after reading on the news on Monday that they have made so many mistakes. I'm going to go in there with a load of questions!!!

Good luck!

Hi, I was unaware of any mistakes they've made but in all seriousness, they couldn't have been any nicer!

The first consultation is different for everyone depending on what tests you've had previous. We had everything done so we discussed what was wrong with us and what was going to happen and when. We also had routine blood and swabs done which everyone has to do. They were all so kind and lovely!
