well after a very difficult 3rd tri with spd and sciatica it was decided i would be induced on the 14th sep

at 6.00 i was started of with a pessary nothing happened so at 10.00 i had another by this time OH had to go home and i was left in a room by myself which was scary as i couldnt move to well with my back and pelvic pain

i started having contractions and a bloody show around 11.00 but i wasnt even 1 cm the mws left me to it and checked me again at 5.00 by this time the pain was awful so i had gas and air until 7.00 when checked again the lovely MW did a sweep to get me to 3 cm so that i could go to labour room and get OH up to be with me

i was put on the drip to move things along and had my water broke as i couldnt move already i was given the epidural which was great.

unfortunalty the baby didnt like the drip so for three heart breaking mins i had to watch as the room filled with people and my babys heart started to drop and wouldnt go up.

i was told i might have to have a c section luckly when the drip was turned down the heart beat went up it was decided after an hour to up the drip again to get the baby out

i felt loads of pressure pain and told the MW i had to push so she checked me i wasnt fully at 10 cm but the baby wanted out so a pushed for 6 mins which was really painful it felt as if i was going to spilt in half but as soon as he was out i didnt care about the pain

baby Adam Andrew Kenneth Kincaid was born weighing 6 pounds 15 and was prefect im so in love with him.

as for the spd and and scatica well the spd went as soon as the epi wore off

and 10 days after the birth my scatica is getting better i can now walk unaided and hopefully by the end of the week ill be out with my little man in the pram
