My LO is sleeping HEAPS... is this normal?

My little one (6wks old today) has been sleeping so much lately. She also has been sleeping through her usual 4hr feeds (we demand feed, but it tends to be every 4hrs anyway). At one stage she went 11hrs between feeds!!!!! I was getting worried and ended up waking her to have a bottle. This morning she woke and was winging, around bottle time, by the time I'd made it, she's fallen asleep again. Would this just be a growth spurt in play?

There is a growth spurt at 6 wks. But some babies r more sleepy than others. At this age my LO used to sleep almost all day & only wakes up for feeds every 4 hrs daytime, & 6-7 hrs at night. Some babies love their sleep.

She cries in her sleep too. I wonder in to find she's still asleep. I don't know why she does this but it is pretty cute.

Aww bless her. They have dreams I also think it's cute. Once she's babbling & starts talking, she will start doing it while sleeping. It's one of the cutest things I've even seem

Most babies are irritable and don't sleep well during their 6 week growth spurt but some do - sounds like yours!

Lucky you! Haley hit her growth spurt and was awake for 13-17 hrs at a time and slept for 2-4 hr in between. She was a terror! lol But she is sleeping pretty good now. I've noticed the past few days she's been sleeping a lot more than usual but I'm putting that down to her getting her shots a few days ago.
