Where to start....
Sunday 18th December- I woke up at 6am and was getting mild Braxtons, i realised about 9am they were coming every 7 mins but didnt hurt so just ignored them.
By 12 pm they were still every 7 mins but felt alot tighter. Me and OH decided we better fit car seat just incase.... By this time they were getting quite sore.
5pm- they were still every 7 mins but were very very uncomfortable...
at 10pm i went to bed because i couldnt take it anymore i needed sleep just incase.
at Midnight i shouted my OH because the pain had gone up a notch and i wanted a bath. so he ran me one and they were still coming no matter what, stood up and lost my plug! It wasnt pretty at all lol... Wit every pain more came... and came... lol I rang L&D and she said sounds like early labout sit and home and wait untill they were 5 mins appart lasting a min... They were only lasting 40 seconds and still 7 mins.
At 5am i couldnt take it anymore i hadnt slept and the pains were worse so rang back L&D. They still wouldnt see me told me to stay put because 6 mins wasnt close enough. I was mortified i was becoming quite uptight and panicing alot. I just wanted to be seen and to be told it was happening.
At 8am my OH rang L&D and spoke to a diff mw. told her my contractions were now every 4 mins lasting 40 seconds and i was being sick everywhere. not sure weather it was pain or fear or both lol... i was told to go in straight away, so we packed up our stuff and went accross town to hospital... was checked straight away at 10:30... i was 3cms quite soft with a while to go... but atleast it was happening. I asked to go in the pool because i wanted a waterbirth.
The water was lovely and warm, just amazing!
Id been in the pool and hour and the pains were worse than ever, i couldnt stop being sick i couldnt stand nothing! I made the very sad dicsion to throw my birth plan out of the window and go back to my room for the Diamorphine injection. I couldnt take it i had no choice. They told me it would take 20 mins to work... 2 mins later i was flat out high as a kite. wow! amazing!!
My OH went to feed the meter because it would be a long wait and i was out for the count.
My mw came in 45 mins after id had the injecton and asked if i was ok... i told her i think my waters have gone... had they ever!! they didnt stop! lol... but i kept telling her i needed to push like now! She checked me and i was 9cms!! My OH had just walked in and nearly went into shock at the fact baby was coming!!!
5 mins later i was fully dilated and demanding i pushed!!
Baby had poo'd but she was coming n fast!
I was pushing for 1 hour 30 mins on my side with gas n air before they called the dr in. i wasnt pushing half as much as i should, so they decided they was going to use a ventouse. 15 mins later a cut and 2nd degree tear baby was born at 3:15pm... OH couldnt cut the cord because the diamorphine affected her aswell took 10 mins to get her to cry, because she was so zonked out bless her... But was a very scary moment!!
It was a very quick labour 12 hrs in all. Not bad for first baby...
She was bak to back and was turning as she came down so the pain was beyond bad! But i did it!!
But anyway here she is my very very beautiful daughter
DIT: I also forgot to add that after id given birth and id been cleaned up me gorgeous OH proposed to me
my perfect family!
