After my freak out for the last two days, I talked to DH last night abt IUI and He agreed. He is very comfortable with IUI now after I explained how simple the procedure was. Infact he said why haven't we done it already :)


So I want to take some time off and try to get as healthy as possible. This would include.

Exercise
Eating tons of fruits and Vegetables
EPO, Wheatgrass tablets and Foilic acid
No more fried food or chocolates (Big Fan) or cakes (Again Big Fan)
I am already drinking a cup of raspberry leaf tea from day 1-14.

Thank you everyone for motivating me to talk to my DH about IUI. You girls are great.

Oh!any suggestions regarding the getting healthier part would be greatly appreciated. :)
 
That's great news, well done, you must feel so much better - and you know DH is on board so you're on the same wavelength now.

I can't help with the healthy bit, I'm currently sat on my bum at work eating a bag of crisps!!! I'd be interested in any tips too as we're hoping to start IVF before the end of the year so I probably ought to be healthier than I am!

I do feel sooo much better now. Yes if ur planning IVF it would be a good idea to start eating healthier. I have been reading the book "The Fertility Diet" it sounds crazy sometimes with so many restrictions but I think even if I don't follow it completely at least I would get some ideas.

Hope everything goes well for u too. I see you have only 14 days till your appointment, fingers crossed for u Hun!

Good luck! I am thinking about getting that book too. My friend had one unsuccesful IVF, then read the book and started following that diet and wound up pregnant with beautiful twins on her 2nd IVF. She firmly believes that the diet had a big part of it!
 
Good luck with your IUI, sounds like you have a good plan there! As for the healthy eating, DH and I are not too bad. We've cut out coffee and alcohol all together and eat fruit, veg and meat. I went back on the chocolate as I was fed up with missing out on everything I enjoyed month after month after month after month after......., if you get my drift :rofl:.
 
I think its still really important not to deprive yourself of everything you love as this TTC lark is hard at the best of times but if your also always misserable because you can't have some of the things you love then you will just go mad! Obviously in moderation!
