Hi ladies! I have a few minutes here while they whisked baby away to the nursery for a full exam so I figured I'd go ahead and write my story.

I was scheduled for an induction at 41w as baby was not showing any signs that he was going to come on his own. I got to the hospital at 8:50 am and they started getting me situated right away. I was triaged and hooked up to IV fluids and monitored until about 11ish and then they moved me into my L&D room.

They started me on a low dose pitocin and things were going fine. At 2pm I was at 2.5 cm, so they upped me to 3 ml of pitocin. At 4pm, I was checked again. Still at 2.5, but since contractions were now coming in hard and i was having a hard time coping. They gave me some pain medicine in my IV but it just made me dizzy and loopy, so I didn't request anymore. They checked me again at 7ish and I was in a lot pf pain, so I requested the epidural. They gave me a walking epidural, which meant I could still get up and stuff-- I could still feel everything too, which was awesome. I got the epidural at 730ish. It didn't hurt at all going in and started working immediately. They checked me at 820 and I was at 8cm! 10 minutes later, my body started pushing and I yelled to my husband that I needed the nurse and midwife. She checked me and I was at 10 cm! I started pushing and Jaden came out at 9:12 pm weighing 8lb 1.5 oz and was 21 inches long. They put him right on my chest and we bonded while they started to stich me up (I had a 2nd degree tear).

We are all doing well! He is nursing like a champ, got all 9s on his APGAR, and we are recovering well.

I can't believe I got my vbac!

Yay for similar baby names! I was monitored really closely, but was still able to walk around and stuff. I had a walking epidural, which meant I wasn't tied to the machine and was able to move around a little. Throughout the whole labor and delivery process, I and baby were monitored about every 45 minutes to an hour.

So u could move around and then be monitored every 45 mins to an hr rather than be laid on the bed with the monitor on the whole time, that is a relief

Im assuming u wouldnt of been allowed a water birth? i would so love to try one
