Well where to I start I guess I go back to 31 weeks when I was admitted into hospital after being checked out at the fetal assessment unit (fmu) as I was having contractions and baby had been a little quite. They wanted to see me put me on the CTG machine (a machine I knew well from having my son as we had a few trips to the fmu with him too). The CTG showed I was having some tightening/contractions so they wanted to a dr to see me thankfully babys heartbeat was good and strong of course once I was on the machine little one was wiggling around. The dr did a fibronectin test and checked my cervix which was still closed the test however came back positive so the admitted me on the labour ward as a positive test can indicate you may go into preterm labour within the next 2 weeks they kept me in to monitor me and gave me a course of steroids injections to help little ones lungs if I went into premature labour. Everything calmed down so after 2 days in hospital they let me go home. I was told to be on reduced activity and if I had any concerns to come straight back. Between 31 weeks and 36 weeks I had on and off contractions which didnt come to anything but we had a few trips up to the fmu. My midwife was great we had a growth scan at 35 weeks which we were due to have anyway and all was looking good which was a relief.
