My due date was september 19, 2014. (Sorry so long this is going in his baby book as well)
I had the labor you see in movies that I always told everyone didn't happen in real life![haha :haha: :haha:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/haha.gif)
I had a normal dr. Appt on 9/10/14 at 38w5d, we didn't do any sort of cervical check, however the moment I sat up from the bed after listening to bubs heart I felt different. I had a contraction while sitting there talking about induction if I go overdue, and something just felt very off.
I went home & continued my day as normal except I had a strong feeling the baby was going to come soon so I began thinking about what we are going to do with our 3 year old daughter.
I then put her to bed and decided to relax, still feeling very off w/ suspicious bh coming and going. I wouldn't dare assume labor and curse myself at this point.
I took a nice hot bath and for once I laid down to watch my favorite show on tv.
I then took myself to bed with my heating pad.. Hubby was working nightshift and arrived home sometime around 3/4 am. When I woke up my lower back felt extremely pms like, it ached intensely so I turned up my heating pad.. Did my best to ignore it and went to bed.

When my daughter woke up I was still feeling very off and decided I needed to get out of the house so we went shopping.. Being on my feet truly intensified and began regulating the bh. They became so regular I decided I needed to go lay down at home..
I began timing them..
The first hour they were anywhere from 3 to 6 minutes apart.
The second hour they were 2-3 minutes apart, very strong.. But I could still speak.. I was very irritable also!
I got a HORRIBLE pain.. I think my side cramped up with a contraction and I started yelling at my dd to go wake up dh!!!! I've never hurt so bad!!!!
My hubby came down in a Half daze panick to me on the floor crying!!! (He has NEVER seen me like that I handle pain well!)
I told him what was going on, we had my Gma watch my dd & we decided to go on a walk before proceeding to triage. The contractions stayed at 2 minutes apart and that side cramp never returned (thank goodness).
We got to triage, still 2 minutes apart & waited.. It was busy..
When we finally got hooked up my contractions decided to slow (of course) and I became discouraged.. How could my body put me thru this for nothing was my initial thought.. They checked me... I was a lousy 1 cm, hardly thinned, and baby was still floating not engaged at all... They sent me home right as my contractions began returning.. It was around 430 pm..
We went home discouraged.. Decided to treat ourselves to some Olive Garden and a movie at home.. While picking up our order at the restaurant MY WATER BROKE! I was reaching over to unlock the back door and I heard and felt a strong pop! I didn't tell hubby and I didn't dare move as it hadn't started gushing out yet.. A few minutes later I started feeling it and told hd I thought my water had broken back there... He was a bit shocked lol and pulled over... I got out of the car and sure enough... I was soaked...
In shock we called all of our (now off gaurd family) to let then know...
My contractions picked up INSTANTLY.. One after the other.. Couldn't talk thru them and I was bracing myself for each one..
We got BACK to triage around 6:30 pm.. (I had to be wheeled in!!) After just being 1 cm they weren't In any rush!! Me and hubby were in the tiny triage room and I began holding back tears thru these harsh contractions.. I think the nurse noticed my body starting to bear down and asked me if I felt like I needed to poo... YES i yelled!!! She then hurried up to check me and ibs panic said I was at 7cm !!!!
Consider us SHOCKED!!!! That news made the contractions so much worst!!!!
EPIDURAL I screamed!!!! I wanted an epidural before it was too late!!! Triage was panicking to get me out of there and admitted ASAP cause my cervix was dilating by the second it seemed.. They finally got me wheeled to a room and BARELY got out moms to the right place I time... I was 8cm & still had some thinning to do the nurse said..
I still wanted the epidural!!! Give me Anything I said!! Lol they had the dr come in for the epi and had me sit on the bed.. Kicked parents out etc.. And began that process EXCEPT I was pushing... Hard... And I couldn't control it... It felt good to push... I tried to hide it for the drugs!!!!! It was excruciating.. I felt his head in my birth canal as I was SITTING on the edge of the bed bearing down secretly!!! Or so I thought
I was I. So much pain...
My dr came running into the room and told me I'm too far for the epidural...
all that sitting on my child's head crying for nothing!!! As I was laying back the dr said he had hair... Yes... I was literally sitting on his head before this point....
So I laid down they rushed our moms back in and told me to push!!! I stopped to ask dh if he was okay poor thing was in shock.. Couldn't move..
I pushed once and said I don't want to do this anymore as it BURNED.. I pushed again because I couldn't take the ring of fire anymore and my perfect son was born at 8:01 pm on 9/11/14 after just 2 pushes and 1.5 hours after my water broke and active labor kicked in... He weighed 7 ib 13 oz and 20 in and this moment was amazing..
I was NOT expecting to go this fast or this early.. Dd was born 5 days late after 12 hour active labor and 1 hour pushing...
He was born on a very special day..
9/11 - us tragedy..
But his dad was born on 3/11 and his auntie (dad's sister) was born on 8/11... 11 being there families lucky number...
He was born at 8:01 pm which translates into 2001 military time (24 hour clock)
He is just perfect... I might add my waters looked like pond water as he had gone potty due to stress... It was green & scary looking I was so worried to see this in triage ( I was a waterfall during this whole process.. With every single contraction came a HUGE mess... ) due to the meconium we had a lot of drs in the room just incase.. He was perfect.. Side inhale a drop scored 9 something on his apgar I overheard.. Though he was a bit jaundiced.. It got bad on day 3, but due to constant nursing and a lot of healthy poops we had it controlled by day 4.
He is so content & us 3 are SO in love with him..
