Hey girls,
Monday just gone I had my internal ultra sound and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Everything was normal and looked exactly how it should look at the end of a period.
Surgery was today and went well. Ended up staying at my Mums tonight as surgery wasn't until 11:30 today, so felt too sick and groggy for a 5hr car trip.
My specialist, anaesthatist and nurses were lovely, thank god for the public health system!
Woke up coughing my guts up and they told me before I woke up I nearly fell out of the bed from a coughing attack...now I know why you really shouldn't smoke 24hrs prior I asked my nurse friend who used to work with my specialist during these surgeries if it was 'that' important and she told me that being a smoker I will cough anyway so that it was up to me. I went smoke free for 14 hours LOL But don't worry, as soon as we have treatment dates sorted the fags will be long gone, only the best for my future baby!!!
And great news, the specialist came in and told me (after i'd woken up for a bit) that everything was perfectly normal. Absolutely no tubal blockages or anything abnormal and he said my heart shaped uterus is so mild its barely worth worrying about. So thankgod I have completely checked out to be A OK.
We have another appointment on the morning of the 26th March, so 2 weeks from yesterday and that will be when we discuss treatment and organise the exciting stuff! Right now i'm feeling positive about it all, but after the appointment i'm sure i'll be feeling overwhelmed.
I am just so relieved that all tests are over and everything is ok.
Thanks so much for all your support girls, I feel I am strong enough to be more active within the forum now and to return the support that you all deserve
