Our daughter Halle Marie was born on 07/03/2013 at 6:40am and weighed 7lb 12.5oz

She was due on 21st Feb but was too comfortable so I was given a sweep at 41+4 which made me lose some plug but no bloody show etc. I was then taken into hosp on 06/03 at 9 pm when I was 41+6 to be induced. Baby had a scan and was in the correct position and 3/5 engaged which had been the same for 4/5 weeks. I was examined and 1-2cm dilated with waters intact. The midwife inserted a pessary at around 11pm, which she said would efface me more then said she would wake me at 6 to insert ano.ther which should start working within 24 hours, and that she was going to break my waters when the 2nd tablet was inserted. I went to sleep at around 2 after a few cramps then woke around half 3 with stronger ones, I rang the buzzer and was given 2 paracetamol and told to yry and sleep for labour. An hour later after a few visits to the toilet I rang again in a lot of pain and was given 2 codeine and told to try and sleep again. I went about 6 more times to the toiletand had loads of pains, after my final visit to the toilet I ran back in the room telling oh I needed to push and had some bleeding, he rang the buzzer and the midwife must have thought I was being over dramatic, she asked me to open my legs and could feel baby's head ready to come, I had made it to 10cm with 2 paracetamol and 2 codeine! They came back with a wheelchair and ran down to delivery with me!I was in delivery pushing for 30/40 minutes with gas and air my sack of waters came out intact and were brokenat 6:17 then at 6:40 all of the pain stopped when my baby was placed on me :-) This is my first labour and I expected it to be a lot longer with a lot more pain relief! I got a 2nd degree tear which I asked not to have stitched but other than being a bit sore when weeing I've recovered perfectly. I will attach a photo of her soon :-)
