My turn to rant

So i have told one of my best friends that i have been trying for no1 for a few months... did i get a good luck? excitement? happiness? Nope! I got "haha it took ME 1 try YOU need to see a doctor" Now if she wasnt my husbands bestfriends wife i would have gladly told her to F*ck off! I tried telling hubby how upset i was but he told me i was being silly and get over it. Am i being silly? I am not expecting straight away result (would have been nice!) but to have that reaction from a friend

Hi mazzy, I don't think you are being silly at all she sounds like an insensitive cow. Most reasonable people would know that everyone is different and some of us take longer to conceive. I hope you have other friends in your life that are more supportive. take care

That's horrible! Hubby's bestfriend's wife or not, I would have slapped her in her face! Some women are extremely insensitive and the fact that she is a nurse makes it worse!

that is pretty rude!!!! me and my hubby haven't told a soul about ttc in our family, I dont want the pressure from them we already get enough of it!

I hope that things work out for you, don't let anyone get you down stay positive a nurse of all people should know that it can take some time for a couple to have a baby!

that just makes me think it wasnt unintentional, i would tell hubby if he were a woman he'd understand the offensiveness here.. and hubbys bestfriends wife or not i probably would have told her how i felt! but props to you for keepin cool about it!

Wow thats pretty mean! She's lucky you were nice enough to just blow it off at the time because I probably woulda gave a smartass remark back! lol...its already frustrating enough knowing all kinds of people who never had to put an effort in ttc but to have them rub it in is like salt in the wound! I hope you have more support than her! Good luck!

Well all we keep getting from her is texts saying "is my baby getting a playmate yet?" Use to go out a lot found out the other day that she went out with a load of mutual friends and was mocking me for not getting pregnant. I give up with her. I have learnt a long time ago when to stop wasting time on "friends"
