Any chance you could be prolapsing?

You really need to get to hospital, so if your baby needs help when born, you are in the right place.

What you could be feeling is a prolapse, if its not and it is your water bag bulging out, then you should go hospital, so you are in the right place if your baby needs help.

You know that prem labour isnt like full term labour, I feel you are leaving too much to chance xx

just wanted to let you know i'm thinking of you and Jenson. Hugs x x

Hope he holds off a bit longer for you! Sounds like you need to be sitting with your feet up and going no where except the potty for a few weeks. How in the world do you get privacy for sex with all those kids around woman?? :)

WOW. we need to exchange email addresses and such, i think we are more alike than we think. Although i know that it is bad to feel your cervix while pregnant and especially since i already went through a preterm scare....
I have felt my cervix a few times to make sure it wasnt dilating more. I too have a bulging bag. My babys head is down and pressing against my cervix. I wasnt when i was in the hospital and a few days ago i thought i might have been having contractions and i wanted to see if my cervix was still at 1cm which it was but my bag was bulging a little. (i know i am at risk for checking myself and i am aware of infections and what forth so hold the lectures) I was thinking about telling my OB but what am i going to say,, i was feeling up there and noticed my water was bulging? I have also had my steroid shots. I am so surprised they said they wouldnt stop your labor even if you have had preemies before, i think they should try and keep him in much longer. I dont get it. With my first preemie, they tried and stop my labor all the way to 36weeks, then they let me have him. but you are a little over 30 weeks which is soo much better than almost 27weeks. Grow babies grow. Jenson, stay put baby.

Just say that it feels heavy down there and not quite right and hopefully your doctor will examine youand let you know....after 8 other children a prolapse is definitely a possibility:wacko:

Wow its sooooo nice to hear from someone who understands and is going through the same.

I havent got a clue about dialation or anything so wouldnt know what i am!

My last one was born at 31 weeks exactly, only 5 days from what i am now so ive had experience of this sort of stage premmie.

I think they wont do anything because they tried last time to stop it, and it didnt work. Maybe that was just one docs opinion ( i tend to see a different one each time) and another may try??

I was going to call if i had anymore twinges tonight, like the past 3 nights, but nothing lol!

xxx

In our birthing class we were told that the cervix never fully closes after you give birth so i wonder of this is whats allowing part of the membrane to drop though? And its possible that its been like this for a while now the baby is starting to get to that point?

Wow i always try to feel up there like the doctor does.. what is he feeling? i can never find it????

For you not to be sticking fingers in and be able to feel the membranes they must be really low, unusually low. I agree with the girls who said maybe a prolapse, get checked hun

Your cervix is probably too high to reach at this point. It's funnel shaped with a little hole at the end. Once you thin and dilate you can feel the edges and possibly fit a finger or two in. It's pretty tough to reach though until labor is close.

OH my hon, don't take this too lightly. I had this because of an incompetent cervix and had a cerclage put in. Your waters could very well break or you could get an infection esp with fingers in there. Call the hospital and tell them at the very least!

I hope Jensen stays in a bit longer! But with 8 kids I think you know better than us if anything was a problem :) xxx

how's things going hon? please tell me you've at least rung them?

abz xx

hun pls just call and go in and let them check you over even just for our peace of mind???? xx

Hiya, im here! Thanks for the lovely words and advice.

I called but got a stroppy obviously too busy mw who just basically brushed me off. As i hadnt had any more pains last night, she basically acted like she wasnt interested. Just told me to ring again if i had any more pains.

I woke a few times during the night and felt very damp, but i can tell from today that its not my waters, just lots and lots of discharge (all bloody, thick and yuk)

When i walk round, i feel very swollen down there (sorry) but no pains today, so am just resting and keeping an eye on things xx
