So definitely not pregnant and no plans to be until at least another year or so, but we often talk about what we might name our third and I have a list ready for that time lol

I love old fashioned old lady and man names and traditional type names What are your thoughts on these and any other ideas that are similar to the style we like? Thanks!

Lily
Mabel
Orla
Bella/Belle
Ella
Grace
Olivia
Iris
Evelyn
Ivy
Pearl

Henry
Benjamin
Louis
Lucas
Noah

Our boys list is getting shorter and shorter after having two sons haha!

Judging from your sons names, I like Henry best for a boy and Iris or Grace for a girl!

My top 3, in order of preference are:

1. Ivy
2. Olivia
3. Bella

1. Noah
2. Benjamin
3. Henry

Lovely list - many nice choices!

Henry is probably my favourite too although it was on the list both times already and I've always chosen something else over it so maybe it's not THE one? Hmm

And Grace is an all time favourite name so you got two of my top three there :)

Thanks! I just wish the boys list was a bit longer. I feel like there must be some fab names out there that I'm missing!

Ok, I just looked up the Top 1000 baby boy names from 100 years ago! Here are some that caught my eye -

Leo
Charlie/Charles
Oscar
Jesse
Alfred
Theodore/Theo/Teddy
Harvey
Alexander
Nicholas
Jacob
Oliver
Wesley
Archie
Julius

Felix
Marshall
Percy

I like all the names on your list, especially the girls! I've got similar taste to you I think, and my little boy is Seth and my baby girl will be Elsie.

The ones that jump out to me from that list:

Archie - this was our second choice when we named Freddie, we couldn't decide between the two. The decider was that my hubby wanted it to have a 'proper' version for the birth certificate and I couldn't name a baby Archibald, so Frederick nn Freddie it was!

Charlie - LOVE this. With Charles on the birth certificate. Going on the list!

Theodore - would love this but I have a niece called Thea

Jacob - love this. In fact I love most J boy names but as we used two on Jack, we've decided not to use any more...!

Harrison - I did consider this as Harry is a family name. But I think it's quite popular where we are

We totally must have similar taste as Seth is one of my favourite boys names ever, but we can't have any S names as they clash with our surname, so it had to be ruled out :)

Ella & Olivia for a girl (two names that are on my own list!)

And I love Lucas & Noah.

Completely biased here by my favourite girl name is Bella lol. For boys i love Benjamin and Henry. Is it just me or is Lucas becoming soo popular or maybe its just on here i have seen it a few times.

I love your lists! My favourites are Mabel and Louis. Some other suggestions for boys:
Edward nn Ted/Teddy/Eddie
Arthur
Albert nn Albie
Casper or Jasper
Leo

We obv have similar tastes as I adore the name Ted (would use Theodore) but I have a Freddie and therefore couldn't have a Teddy too!

Arthur was on our list for Jack and I still think I'd consider it as a middle name

Love Albie!!!

I vote Ella (obviously!) And either Louis or Lucas. I love both of those boys names :)

I have a Ted (Theodore) and love Freddie but couldn't use it because of Ted/Teddy :haha:
