Name trouble with surnames!!

does anyone find that they cant find the right names to fit with the surname!!?

girls names im alright coz i like loads of them but im so fussy about boys names!! and when i find one i like it doesnt go with oh's surname!!!!! ahh!!

oh's surname is spann - we just end up being silly and coming with names like "wing" and "hand"

Any suggestions?
Oh yeah , and my middle names are picked already.They are Elizabeth Sophie

So something to fit with those middle names plus Culross.

And its a december baby so people keep coming up with randon things like ding dong,but even the names i like which would be poppy just sound awful.

I had difficulty with my last name when I was pregnant but I've always known if I had a boy I'd call him Tyler Jack (Tyler because I don't know a Tyler and I like it - Jack after my grandad that died ) A girl I had loads of names for but no other boys names so if I have another boy in the future..he'll be called 'Baby Boy Eyre' for a few days

We only have the problem that our last name is pretty short so we don't want to go with an overly short first name if we don't have to. But that's the problem we're running into now with my husband liking Mia while I like Madeleine.

I'd go with a slightly longer first name too. I'm having the same problem as you! I'm not a fan of first names that start with the same letter as the last name...but I'm finding many of the names I like fall into that category!

Nothing seems to fit.
We can only find funny names. And at school kids called him wardrobe.
Snowdrop wardrop.
Ben wardrop... bendover in my wardrobe.
Maybe we are being over sensitive!

Ben Bennett just seems so wrong.
