names too similar??

i'v just found out that we'r having another little girl! so excited!!
my 5yr old is called Allanah but we call her lainey,
my partner wants to call this one alexis, which means we'll shorten it to lexi, i'm a little concerned lexi and lainey, alexis and allanah are a bit too similar!?? what do you guys think??
The other names he likes are georgie (which i'm not as keen on) and avah (which again is a bit similar too Allanah?) but its his turn this time because i got my way with oscar and Allanah so he wants a go!!

anyone got any suggestions??

I don't think they're too similar at all - but maybe that's because my parents named me & my three brothers all "J" names. But still, Alexis is a beautiful name ( I was trying to convince my OH to let me name our baby girl that, infact) - I'd go for it!

I don't think they are too similar -- i think Allanah, Alexis, & Oscar all go very well together!

I also like the variations -- Alexa or Alexia

Your husband's other choice of Ava is also so pretty -- one of my fav names!
