I was actually just telling my OH about something i saw on here about an hour ago to do with name stealing. We were just saying fair enough the same first name okay we could deal with that but the middle name aswell would be taking the piss! Might have to make Elsie-May our back up name aswell :haha:

We didnt decide on hollies name till i was 40 weeks pregnant. Elsie was second on my list last time but OH wouldnt agree on it though as soon as we fond out we were having a girl i started nagging him to call her Elsie and he agreed. Though we have agreen there is still a chance we will change our mind, hollie had like 10 names.

Everyone knows she is called Elsie at the moment though most of our family said we should go with lilly as it dosent sound so old, my dad loves Elsie it also helped that when looking online all OH's names were in the top 10 and Elsie isnt. It also goes best with Hollie.

Evie was Starla from 17 weeks to I think 27 weeks, then she was Chloe from 27 weeks until about 30 weeks and then she was baby no name until she was a day old! Was funny really, congratulations off people on facebook were like "congratulations on the birth of Starla blah blah blah" because we didn't tell anyone she wasn't going to be named that :haha:

This time OH was adamant we wasn't deciding on a name until he was born, and now we're 98% set on the name Lucas after my brother who was stillborn :)

On the off chance Logan's name doesnt suit him.. you can use Elsie May :haha:

They both have good/similar taste

I haven't really told anyone our names just because we didnt find out the sex, so i thought whats the point in telling anyone the names?

I am really hoping that LO looks like the names we picked, we have backups but im not really in love with them. Like when i think of the baby i can imagine me having a baby with these names (as silly as that sounds)

:flower:

Our baby is being called elsie marie and marie is her second name not doubled with her first. OH is still satnext to me saying we should call her Heather, as his name is heath.

We had picked our girls name when we were ttc, and have now decided on our boys name. But it's not set in stone and may change! My fiance is Nigerian and finding a name that we both agree on has been interesting! We probably won't tell family until after she/he is born as I don't really want their opinions on it!

For a girl Aisha Lily Eniola

For a boy Elijah John Adetola

Or Elsie May for both? :haha:

If i have a baby girl its defo going to be Evangeline Lola :) and for boy itll be Arto

I've noticed when there's a difference in nationality people find deciding on a name a little harder..
Luckily me and my OH just agree'd straight away on Elsie May for personal reasons..
Deciding on a boys name was hard!! We never really had one set in stone - we were relieved when we found out she was a girl lol
x

I'm set on the names I've picked. I don't mind telling people what names I've decided - if I have a girl she's going to be called Grace and if I have a boy he's going to be called Ethan. There's people that I've told that HATE the name Grace and the same with Ethan. I've come to the conclusion that if I try and find names that EVERYONE likes then I'll never get a good name for my baby. What matters is I like the names I've chosen and think they are suitable for my little one - because a name is for life.. and I love them and have my reasons for choosing them especially Grace. And with my second name it's precious if I find a great name that goes with it. The only thing I'm actually stuck on is middle name or what my baby's other name will be if I go down the double barrel name route.

It has been a bloody nightmare! All of his suggestions i knew that it would be something my grandma wouldn't we able to pronounce! Also its tradition that each parent chooses a name as well! My parents won't but his will, so that will be an extra name!

He's a muslim, and has two children already with his ex-wife and they both have muslim first names, so he want's our baby to have the same, even though this baby will be raised a christian. God it has been difficult. He's not overly keen on Elijah but it is definitely better than previous suggestions! I think Elijah is so cute though! And the middle names and the names of my dad's parents.

Have a feeling this one's a boy so hoping we find out soon, because i am sure the name will change!

We decided on Kara quite quick actually , we like that or else Ericka .. But we agreed on Kara because I was working with an Australian girl when we were in Melbourne and her name was Kara and she was the nicest person ever , Oh said it reminds him of Kara Tionton and shes fit haha , Her names just stuck now we both love it and cant imagine calling her anything else , All my family and friends like it too :) ,

For us boys names were the hardest to pick we really couldnt decide! We were leaning towards Owen or else Jason after my OH.. I liked Lewis but theres a tram called the Luas that runs by my house and I didnt like the idea of that ha..

I think thats why we really wanted a little girly , cause the whole name dilema :haha: xxx

Sinead lets face it though no Elsie may will be as cute as yours :D.

Even though Isabelle is a common name id be ROYALLY pissed off if someone else had an Isabelle Rose that i knew haha! Id be straight up like "Change its name BIIIIIIATCH" haha

If you have a problem come out and say it, dont beat around the bush,

Just off to ask ever mother on the teen sections that have daughters called Elsie if i'm aloud to use that name, or else i'll be in trouble from the name police for stealing it:dohh:

Eric and I decided together on Kaiden seeing as it was the only name we liked haha. But I chose the spelling of it because I like unique spellings and when spelt with a C it looks girlish to me. But everyone knows! obviously if someone "steals" his name, then they arent creative haha

We are definitely set on Lucas Theo.
We looked for weeks on sites and through books for a name we liked and believe me; boys names are so so hard to decide on!

However we've both agreed that when he comes out, if the name doesn't feel right, we will have to look again (I'm packing my baby name book in my hospital bag) :flow:

Tell me about it!! x
