I am sitting here with my 9 month old taking her third nap of the day on me. For the past week she has woken up every time I have tried to put her down. Every single time.

This would be fine, but I have a 3 year old.

This is killing me, any tips?

A sling? I'm in the same boat, mine won't go in her cot at all so I've given up for now and I just pop her in the mei tai for naps.

DS took long naps in the carrier. DD won't go to sleep until she's been in it for an hour or so, and my back can't handle it. Thanks though!

What a pickle! I'm sure girls are more trouble than boys. I'm not sure what to suggest, I hope she gives you a break soon though.

My daughter is much younger than yours, but she did this for about a week a little while ago. It was extremely frustrating, and we ended up bed sharing for most of that week because it was the only way we could both get some sleep. Then one day it just stopped and I've been able to put her down ever since. I figured it was maybe a developmental leap or something and she needed a bit of extra comfort/reassurance, then once she got over the leap she was fine. Hopefully the same happens for you!

My daughter went through this stage not long ago and it lasted ten months till 12 months! I ended up putting her duvet on her instead of blankets. Obviously its a thin baby duvet one and that worked for us. She has been ok since. It definitely was a stage too as if we put her in bed and left the room she would stand up screaming! She wAs in our bed every night. If you keep trying to put her down somewhere. Some ideas i did were

Bouncer and cbeebies till she fell asleep
A quick walk up the road although in your case with a toddler it may not work
Putting her pram in the kitchen near the washer or fan hood.

I have a few friends who went through this stage too around 9-10 months good luck x
