My son is having a bit of a language explosion but a lot of the words he says are very nasal sounding.
I want to be clear that I know my son is very young (almost 20 months) and does say a lot of words, and there is no way I expect him to talk clearly.
The issue is the more he is saying the more nasal words we are also hearing.
My aunt was talking to her friend who is a speech therapist and she advised us to see one as there could be an issue physically.
From what ive googled issues tend to be with M and N words and this is not the case for us.
If he is counting to ten, the numbers 2, 4 and 7 sound nasal, like they are being pushed out his nose. Also where the words car, daddy, eyes, teeth, bike and ball are really clear, train, truck, nose, shoe, tree are not.
Was just really wondering if this is something I should take further or simply that some of the parts he needs to talk are still quite immature.
Thanks.
