So i know this is late, but better late than never hehe.

At 8am on June 10th I reported to labour ward at Musgrove park hospital for my planned c section as my littlest man was breech, on the day i was 36 weeks pregnant.
I was shown to my room and told to relax on the bed, at about 8.30 i was asked to change into a gown, and was seen by the surgeon and anaesthetist and waited to go to theatre.
At 8.58 am i entered the operating theatre and was fighting back a desperate urge to run out of there and stay pregnant but deep down i knew my lil boy needed to be out.
After an hour of lots of pain and swearing my epidural and spinal were in, i was asked to lie on my back but the spinal worked to quickly and i was stuck on my side so had to be man handled about by loads of strangers lol.
The surgeons came in and before i knew it i was told that they had started the op, my spinal had gone a little too high and i was having trouble breathing so was given oxygen.
All this time hubby was by my side holding my hand and trying to keep me sane, and then finally at 10.24 our gorgeous little man Nathan John Alexander was born weighing 7lbs.
He was literally ripped out of me and whisked away to be checked, he was then briefly shown to me before being rushed to nicu for heart monitoring and hubby went with him.
My section and sterilisation were completed after a few complications and then i was taken back to my room where hubby was waiting for me, nicu had said he may want to leave while Nate had needles done in case he got upset, this upset me a bit by ho hum.
After a few hours i was taken to see him and was SO shocked, he was swamped by wires, tubes and machines, no one had told us he had had a few breathing problems and so was on c-pap, he spent 2 hours on O2 and then another 19 on air and was off it the following day.
After a week of hell in NICU we were allowed home, where we have been enjoying quality mummy and son bonding time ever since.

So not the worlds most exciting birth story i know, but our story none the less and threrefore magical to me and so i thought i'd share it with you, and some pics of our gorgeous boy. Hope you all enjoy! xxx
