I had my first emergancy section 14 yrs ago, then I have had 2 vaginal deliveries, then I ended up having my 2nd section 4 years ago because her hb kept dipping, I'm pregnant again and I was wondering if anyone had a vaginal after having 2 c/ sections

Dang straight you can, VBAC after multiple CS is more common than you would think.

Pop into the labour and birth section of the forum and theres a VBAC support thread pinned at the top (linked in my siggy)

We recently had one lady attempting VBA3C but went with a CS in the end and we have another VBA3C hopeful.

In the first post of the thread there are lots of links in spoilers stuffed with info you might find helpful.

Just remember in the UK no one can tell you that you are not allowed...if you want to VBAC and things arent complicated then go for it!

Im in the US, it's def more common in the UK!

I wanted to vbac, but only hospitals around me with dc that do them are an hour away from me at least! Bad enough 3 hospitals half hr away closed their maternity ward!!

I dont want to risk uterine rupture if im in labor and have that hr drive to the hosp, so i'm having a planned csect this time.

Hiya
I have had 2 sections, 1st one was planned at 38wks because he was breech, 2nd one i had a trial of labour although the baby was in distress and had to have emergency c-section. Now i am having my 3rd pregnancy and have been told by docs that i will be having c-section i have no choice.
although i'm sure Everyones case will be different.:hugs:

Is there any reason you've been told you arent allowed like you having complications?

IF not hun you ar allowed to birth however and where ever you like in the UK.

Hiya Chuck
The docs have said there is too much risk that my scar will reopen as scar tissue is not that great :nope: so they want no risk of me going into labour. Although i dont see why as my last c-section was over 9 years ago now xx

hi ive had 2 sections one 10 years ago and another 15 months ago, i got pregnant 6 months after my last section and have been ok'd for trial of labour i just need to be admitted early when anything starts and have been told its a 1 in 500 chance of rupture

Hi:wave:
That was like my 2nd pregnancy they said we'll do a trial of labour i was 4 days late as soon as i got a sign of labour they told me to come in, i was in for about 8 hours then they decided to break my waters to speed it up but everytime i contracted the babys heartbeat dipped so they decided c-section was best. This time they said there is no chance of anything but c-section. Thats good you are having a trial of labour with your 3rd hope everything goes well for you :D
