Hello Ladies!

I was born at home and so was my younger sister. I always wanted a home birth, but because of my location, Midwives can't legally help. My Dh who is a Firefighter/Paramedic is also scared of the idea even though I've explained it's benefits.

Fine. Hospital it is.

Is there anyway to have a natural birth without nurses pressuring me for meds in my weakest moments? Prodding me? Stirrups?

I just don't like the hospital scene.

Have any of you ladies accomplished this task??

I suggest this subforum here: https://babyandbump.momtastic.com/home-natural-birthing/

And I also suggest looking up Home Birthers and Hopefuls on Facebook (there's a website of the same name). You can't be the only mama in FL that wants a home birth, so there has to be a way to manage it. Still, if not, a natural hospital birth is possible. Look into birth centres, too. And think about getting a doula. And congratulations!

Doulas are great! I had one with my first and plan to have the same lady be my doula again! I opted for meds last time, but I think I'm going to try it without this time since my epidural didnt kick in until after my sons birth anyways! Lol!
