Anyone had one of these in the UK and did you have to push for it?
I have to have a planned c-section due to health issues with the baby and hope I might be able to get a "natural c-section"

It's when you have an elective so not rushed c-section and the do several things to make it mimic a vaginal birth slightly - A main benefit is to help ensure lungs are clear, delayed cord clamping, birth onto chest and check whilst mum is having skin to ski , apparently more common in the big London hospital. This link explains it better

With my second section which was planned in a way they dropped the drape so I saw her arrive and put her straight on my chest with a towel over her. It was a perfect moment. I wasn't so overly bothered by delayed clamping but then I had a bleed so not sure that would have been possible. She them got weighed and dressed. If I have another section I shall be asking again

That is my experience of s regular normal c-section. It should be standard these days everywhere! So angry that it isn't.
