This Monday I found out my baby no longer had a heart beat. I would've been 13 weeks but I overheard them saying the baby only measured to 11 weeks. (They barely told me anything more whispering). I really want to have the miscarriage naturally but I'm nervous. I don't know what to expect. I just need advice from someone who went through it. They also said the baby had no fluids around it. I've been spotting and bleeding through out this whole pregnancy and I also passed a clot at the hospital when I was 10 weeks. They sent me home and reassured me everything was gonna be okay. Guess not 😔 I'm not really spotting or bleeding anymore but I am having some brown discharge today. Any advice, tips, or support will be kindly appreciated..... Btw I had my son naturally so is the pain the same as having a baby naturally ?

I'm currently trying to miscarry naturally but am only slightly spotting here and there. Heartbeat probably stopped about 2 weeks ago, confirmed one week ago. I was almost 9w along but baby only measured 6w1d. I miscarried at 6 weeks 10 years ago and passed that baby naturally and very quickly, he/she was only the size of a large cashew nut. For how far along you are it might be a bit more traumatic to pass your baby naturally.

I don't have experience with miscarriage at 11 weeks but from everything we know, your baby would be fairly well formed so be sure that's something you're prepared to see. There's really not a way to ~not~ see your baby at that stage. I'm so very sorry for your loss....I know that many women on here have had D&C's and have carried on to give birth to healthy babies. If nothing progresses by mid week next week I am going to look into my medical options.

Thank you, how much blood should I be expecting or is it different for everybody? I'm so nervous about this, I wanna see the baby though I need the closure. Hopefully I'm strong enough for this.

my first miscarriage I had a huge gush of blood all at once and then the rest was like a normal period but just a tad heavier. This time I've been spotting for days now with hardly any progression, until just a few minutes ago. Passed a few more stringy bits of bloody tissue (sorry so tmi!) but not any big clots or anything yet. I'm doing a few squats, lunges, and jumping around a bit......it's weird, but I just want to get this behind me!

I only had a bit of cramping with my first one (one major cramp that accompanied the gush) but with this one it's just been pinches and twinges here and there. I think it all varies, but overall it's similar. With how far along you are you may experience a bit more in the cramping department, similar to initial labor pains.

Thank you so much. Your posts really helped with my nervousness. Btw sorry for your losts. I wish us both good health ☺️ thanks again !

I'm so glad I could help! And thank you, I hope for quick healing for you as well!

I was told 3 weeks ago that I was miscarrying (at that point I was about 6 weeks pregnant *according to my last period) It started as just light spotting for about a week and a half (started before I knew I was miscarrying) it got a little heavier after that with clotting and stuff (though I never saw anything that I thought was a baby.. Then again I guess I wasn't really expecting anything big enough to be distinguishable since they saw nothing on ultrasound at 6 weeks) the clotting (and slight period like cramping) lasted for about a week and a half and slowed back down to spotting and now I've had nothing for almost 3 days. Every body is different and deals with things differently. I wish you good luck and health and hope that your next pregnancy is successful!

It's mostly the not knowing part that's the hard part. I've been trying to avoid going outside and stuff because you never know when it's gonna happen. I'm so happy I signed up to this. I felt so alone since I got the news but reading y'all stories makes me more confident and tells me this happens a lot. I never really knew much about miscarriages until now. Thank you and I wish you the same.

Wish me luck! Im flying Boston to Texas tomorrow...bringing huge maxi oads with me and a change of black pants in case my body decides to get squirrely during the flights :/ as "wise" as it may be to stay home, I can't/wont put life on hold....at this point I feel like its not a matter of when it happens, but how I handle it when it does

Yeah, I think that's where I'm messing up maybe I should go for walks in the morning or something. I hate being inside especially with Spring being here now. But I wish you all the luck in the world !

Just wanted to offer some :hugs:

I hope things are as easy on you as possible.

I miscarried at 14w+2days. at 13w+4days I started spotting and an US showed a baby the size of 8.5weeks. I MC naturally 5 days later. on the 4th day the contractions started. This MC was my 1st pregnancy, so I'd never experienced contractions, but I knew what they were when I started getting them. Also, my midwife had prepared me that at that stage in the pregnancy, there could be similar feelings to giving birth to a full term baby because my cervix had to dilate. The contractions were mild all day and would stop if I laid down. They became quite intense in the afternoon/evening. Like me focusing on my breathing so I could make it through them sort of intensity. I went to bed and went to work the next day. I had mild contractions in the morning on the 5th day until about noon, then nothing (I was wearing a pad and had emergency supplies ready just in case). That evening I had my baby by surprise. I felt a slight gush so I sat on the toilet and had it. I bled for several days following that. My midwife had informed me that everyone experiences it differently. I personally feel the blood loss on mine was moderate and like a heavy period at worst. Some people have way more and pass lots of clots. I didn't pass very many at all. She had also told me that I was possible I wouldn't know when I had passed my baby because for some people the sac won't stay intact and the baby will be hidden with the clots. In my case, the sac did stay intact so I knew when I had mine. If you had a natural birth previously, I believe you will be able to handle this. Unless you start bleeding through several pads per hour, you should be fine. Thinking of you.

Thank you ! I actually bled alil today after taking a long walk. I passed what I believe to be some tissue (it was tiny) and some tiny clots. Hopefully this is the start of the miscarriage. I go to the Doc tomorrow, so hopefully they can give me more info about what's going on with me.
