Natural progesterone suppositories

Hi ladies,

Had 2 missed miscarriages. Just a question: I read that it´s best to use natural progesterone suppositories upon pregnancy confirmation (or even before), which is not the same as the common progesterone suppositories. I only used progesterone pills, but heard that the suppositories work best.
Any brand that you are using? how is the dosage? Just want to know because my gyn/ob says it´s the same, but I´ve read it´s not.

Hi Flor,

I've never used the suppositories so I can't help you there, but I've used progesterone capsules prescribed by my OB/GYN (due to miscarriage 3 years prior) and after 6 months of TTC I finally got pregnant on my first cycle with the capsules and now have a healthy baby. This weekend I got a BFP and now my Dr. prescribes the cream that you insert vaginally, which seems like a better idea since it could be absorbed immediately and so close to the baby. Unfortunately it was too late to use it bc I was already miscarrying, but it seemed like a better way than the capsules (also felt less side effects). Also, I wouldn't recommend taking any form of progesterone prior to ovulation bc I've always understood that it can delay it. I hope something in this short novel has been helpful to you
