my bank account is empty until wednesday.

natwest have taken a DD for my car insurance today but there's no money in the account whatsoever. but now it's reading -£73?!
i have no overdraft at all.

barclays used to just return my DD and then charge me £8 or something, can't really remember.
are natwest horrible enough to pay it anyway and then charge me a ridiculous amount each day?
anybody ever had the same thing with them?

I'm with natwest (but unfortunately have 1000 over draft - which I haven't been out of for over 12 months!)

Before I had my over draft, and a direct debit came out with out the sufficient funds in the account, it would show on my online banking as paid, but then like the next day it'd be refunded and the direct debit wouldn't be paid, but you'd be barged a ridiculous amount for them having to do this, I can't remember how much, I remember when I was 15 and my phone bill came out and did this and it was around 30 quid, but because I wasn't 16 they had to refund me! :haha:

But now much a bank charge is now I have no idea, and probably depends on Whih account you have etc, but I've never had it being so much per day like OHs account (halifax think he gets charged £5 per day)

fckuing natwest are annoying!!
OH just said it might be returned in the morning or something so will have to wait and see. it's really irritating!! :( i dont understand why they do it, i have like the most BASIC account, i didnt want anything that would get me into debt and look what it's gone and done :haha:

im gunna buy a money sack and keep all my money in my pocket. if a company wants it they can come and get it!

I think its £12 for a returned payment fee with natwest.

oh wooohoo! thanks natwest lol!
im sure the same thing will happen again. i might cancel my car insurance too. what a rip off!

i have 4 years no claims. and i pay that much!

:haha: *******s aren't they, my car insurance decided to go up from 77 quid to 150 about 9 months ago... Of course I only had enough money in the account for the DD and it was paid, then I got anletterfrom the insurance saying it wasn't paid stupid idiots!

Sorry to but in but you pay £73 a month and you've got 4 years no claims :O!! Mines a little less than that .. I have no, no-claims an I've had 2 crashes!!! Lol

Car insurance is a rip off, our renewal came through from what was 77 last year, to 99 quid this year, that's for both of us to be insured, he's 26 and has been driving since 2003, I've been driving 4 years! No wonder people drive uninsured!

Who are you insured with?? And why car do you drive?? We have 5 years no claims no crashes that count anyway, and we pay 99quid!!

Can't believe how much you pay!

i got a quote from admiral quite a while ago and it was really good. might look into going with them again.

I really want a new car, but seen as my car used to constantly be in the garage, the guy at the garage said these cars are pretty much bullet proof and its a great car for me :haha: and it passed iTs MOT without needing anything other than the window washers cleaning :haha:

we're with tesco, OH is 26, I'm 21, its in his name, with me as named, 5 years no claims, this is our 2nd year with them, and its 99 quid! they wer all around that much though, and if we found one a little cheaper for the renewal, we'd have to find money for 100-200 qui deposit which we just didnt have spare!

yeah it's a pain trying to find the deposits!! you also get a cancellation fee when you try and leave them. so i think it's just bloody easier to stay lol!

did you try it with your insurance with him as a named driver.
my OH is 25 and its still cheaper for it to be my insurance with him as a named driver! x

Wow! I've never paid £99 per month! I've had a Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S (W Reg), Vauxhall Vectra 2.0l (X Reg) & a 1.9TDCi Vauxhall Signum (54 reg). I got the fiesta when I was 18 & still only paid £500!
