Nauseated? Sniff an alcohol wipe.

Hi ladies, I was just talking to a nurse friend of mine today about just how awful nausea can be during pregnancy. She said when she was pregnant with both her boys, she would sniff an Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) wipe or a cotton ball soaked in the stuff when she felt sick. She said the anesthesiogists she works with do this all the time for post op patients who complain of upset stomachs.

WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOW THAT!!! Maybe next time!!

Anyway, I hope this helps some poor pregnant woman on B&B land today

Well when I had surgery once I was very nauseas and the anestiologist told me the same thing.... It helped!

Oh man beware this... I had a coworker tell me that at work today when I was nauseous, took a big ol' whiff and just straight hurled into the sink. But maybe mine is just a weird smell thing... plastic bag smell makes me throw up to lately... but hey hope it works for other ladies!

I'm sure a few sniffs are safe but ask you're doc if you are wary.

I wouldn't go huffing it or anything!

It DOES work! I read the headline of this post, and have been trying it. It doesn't work for long, but it does work rather instantly and right before I feel like I might lose everything I tried so hard to get into my body.

Im the total opposite! I had my blood drawn yesterday and the nurse left the alcohol wipe (i assume its the same thing) near me and the smell made me gag. Its funny how different things work for different people
