Hi everyone, my fiancee and I have been trying for a baby since I went off of the birth control pill in October 2010. My cycles have been irregular (32-48 days), but my doctor said not to worry as everything looked fine in ultrasounds. In October, my fiancee went for a semen analysis, but before we got his results back, we found out that I had been pregnant, but had a miscarriage.

I had gone in for a blood test to analyze why my periods were irregular and the test showed I had been pregnant for probably 6-8 weeks (hard to know for sure because it isn't clear when I ovulate). After this miscarriage, my fiancee assumed his semen test would then be fine since he impregnanted me in about 8 cycles (a year). It wasn't fine....

His count was 270 million sperm (>40mil good)
Motility 61% (>50% good)
Vitality 87% (>75% good)
His morphology was only 4% though!!!

What are our chances of conceiving naturally again? We thought our path would be easy and that I would just need clomid to ovulate and we'd get pregnant. I assumed it took us so long because of my cycles, but it must have been his sperm? Will IUI even work for us? The sheet just reccommends IVF with ICSI, but I'm wondering if prior fertilization that we had indicates IUI with clomid might be successful?

We are both 21, but anxious for a baby right away. What do you guys think we should do?

I haven't gone through an MC and I'm so sorry for your loss. But my hubby's SA was very similar to yours except he has 7% morphology. My OB told us that was just fine and that it shouldn't pose us any issues. Our only fertility issue as of the moment is just getting me to actually ovulate.

So sorry about your MC :hugs:

Have you been tested yet?
