Ok didn't really no where to put this but hoping more responses in here,

Anyway Kieran has always had issues with food, he's very fussy, i.e won't touch anything with a sauce etc

Well last nite we went out to eat and we got his usual, he refused point blank to eat it but wanted sweets, We told him no and left because he was being naughty.

So today he had no sweets and nothing between his lunch and dinner in hope that he would eat, he had smiley faces and fish which he usually loves, he refused point blank on the fish and ate one smiley face!
I told him that if he didn't eat anything else he wouldn't get pudding.

Paige ate her's so she had pudding, i hope he'd realise and maybe eat but he wasn't bothered.

My problem is he's had hardly anything all day, Am i best just to carry on as i'm going, or give him something else likesome fruit that i know he will eat.
I feel so guilty because he's just gone to bed with nothing but he isn't bothered??

Also should i look into getting some vitamins for him??
I'm keeping a eye on his weight and no problems, just really gets me down when i make tea and he won't touch it!

Hope that all makes sense x

Aw hun dont know what to suggest  but vitiamins sound like a good idea as they cant do any harm and we could all do with some extra.

What about a reward chart and when he finishes a meal he moves up etc and at the end of the week depending where he is he gets a reward, and do it with paige to and if by the end of the week he hasnt got enough and paige does get her a reward and maybe it will inspire him to eat more the next week :) XxxX

callum is the exact same!

what i have started doing at meal times, is saying if he "tries" it hell get a bit of fruit.. if he eats it all(or enough so im satisfied) hell get a treat.

if he doesnt eat it then i leave him.. he needs to realise if hes not eating what you put down for him you wont tolerate it and hell go hungry

harsh!! but im as cruel

i agree with ema hun x
But he will start to eat wen he is hungry cos this is wat holly my eldest did and now she will eat anything as she as realised if she doesnt she will not get anything else
good luck hun

I don't really have any experience of this (apart from when my brother was little and wouldn't eat, but my step mum gave in to him every night so he always got his own way!) but hopefully if he goes without he'll realise that you're not giving in and will eat what you give him. Good luck xx

Thankyou goin to try all those ideas, will carry on with saying no treat if he doesn't eat his food and i've just bought 2 reward charts with sticker inc P&P for £2.08 off wonderful ebay,

I've meaning to get some for potty training aswell x
