Need help, computer related to do with photos

Right, I have put all of my photos from 3 memory cards in one folder, and have cleaned up my pictures, got it down from 3,044 to 1,650!!!

My question is, is there any way I can organize them so that the first picture I took started at the beginning and so on?? So the last ones I took will be at the end.

Is it on a windows computer? And is it in a pictures folder? Don't know if this will work but have you tried right clicking with your mouse on the folder itself (not on a picture link) a number of options should come up and one of them should be 'sort by' and in there I think you can sort them by date in groups xx

^^^wss or change your view to details and a date taken header will appear. click on it to put in order then change the view back to thumbnails etc...
